| Waterfowl numbers | Very few ducks present. Goose numbers have declined this week. |
| Water levels | 1.8 feet below conservation elevation (1,274') on 1/17/25. |
| Hunting conditions | Difficult. The lake is ice covered. Geese are loafing on the ice and around a small opening. Snow still covering nearby agricultural fields. The lake remained relatively full through August. Hot and dry conditions persisted in September and October. Moist soil plants are largely absent along lake fringes. As such, few food resources will be available for waterfowl within lake environments. |
